These 8 House Republicans Voted with Democrats on Gun Control Bill

A new gun control measure (HR8) passed through the House of Representative with the help of eight Republican House Members on Thursday including three GOP Members of Congress who co-sponsored the bill.

The eight RINO Members of Congress are listed below:

  • Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania

  • Vern Buchanan of Florida

  • Fred Upton of Michigan

  • Carlos Gimenez of Florida

  • Adam Kinzinger of Illinois

  • Maria Salazar of Florida

  • Andrew Garbarino of New York

  • Chris Smith of New Jersey

In addition to voting in favor of HR8, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI), and Rep Chris Smith (R-NJ) also co-sponsored the legislation.

HR8 passed through the Pelosi led House of Representatives with a 227-203 vote on Thursday. HR8 expands background checks on the sales of firearms to cover private person to person transactions, a previous ‘loophole’ in the federal gun laws.

Congressman Bob Good of Virginia blasted the bill stating it could potentially lead to a national gun registry.

Good stated that HR8, “creates a de facto gun registry by involving the federal government in every gun transfer, including private transfers and gifts, or else how will we enforce these requirements?”

Do you think the eight GOP Members of Congress were wrong to vote in favor of HR8? Are they RINOs? Comment your thoughts below!
