President Trump Acquitted, 7 Republican Senators Vote in Favor of Conviction

The Senate voted to acquit President Trump on Saturday with a 57-43 vote. 67 votes were required in order to convict President Trump.

Seven GOP Senators voted to convict President Trump, they are listed below:

  • Senator Susan Collins (R-ME)

  • Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA)

  • Senator Richard Burr (R-NC)

  • Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA)

  • Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT)

  • Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)

  • Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE)

All 50 Democrat Senators voted in favor of conviction including Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).

Senator Burr notably voted to convict after previously voting that the entire trial was unconstitutional, Burr is not seeking re-election.
