Sen. Josh Hawley's Book Picked Up By Conservative Publisher After Simon & Schuster Backed Out

After Simon & Schuster cancelled the publishing of Senator Josh Hawley’s new book “The Tyranny of Big Tech,” a Conservative publisher named Regnery picked it up and announced it will be available May 4 with pre-orders available now.

“BREAKING: @HawleyMO signs with Regnery after Simon & Schuster cancels book. Pre-order your copy of “The Tyranny of Big Tech” here: m.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-tyranny,” tweeted Regnery.

Simon & Schuster dropped Hawley’s book after the Capitol protests, citing his objection to the electoral college certification as a spark for the violence.

“After witnessing the disturbing, deadly insurrection that took place on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., Simon & Schuster has decided to cancel publication of Senator Josh Hawley’s forthcoming book,” said the publishing house. “We did not come to this decision lightly. As a publisher it will always be our mission to amplify a variety of voices and viewpoints: at the same time we take seriously our larger public responsibility as citizens, and cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom.”

Hawley had threatened to sue the publisher for dropping his book and it is unknown if he will attempt to follow through now that his book has been picked up.
