George Clooney to Produce Docuseries About Ohio State Wrestling Scandal Rep Jim Jordan Defamed Over

Award winning left wing actor George Clooney will reportedly be producing a docuseries focused on the decades-long abuse scandal with Ohio State’s wrestling program.

The series will focus on the laundry list of allegations made against Dr. Richard Strauss, one of Ohio State’s former sports doctors.

Smokehouse Pictures and Clooney will team up together on the project with Sports Illustrated and 101 Studios to create the series. The docuseries will be based on a story published by Sports Illustrated in October of 2020 which was written by Jon Wertheim.

Strauss reportedly abused at least 177 students between 1979 and his retirement in 1998. Investigators believe university personnel failed to act and that many in some cases knew of the abuse.

Ohio State has paid off settlements totaling at least $46.7 million to 185 plaintiffs. Strauss died by suicide in 2005.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has been accused of being guilty of covering up the scandal at Ohio State by former Ohio State wrestling captain Mike DiSabato.

DiSabato’s accusations have since been repudiated by other members of the same Ohio State wrestling program.

It is unclear if the popular Ohio Congressman will be featured in the series.
