WHOAH! Biden wants to ban “high-capacity magazines”
President Biden seeks to appease radical gun control activists and his far-left base by limiting the sale of high-capacity magazines -- one more step toward a gun ban.
“During his April 28, 2021, speech to Congress, President Biden called for a ban on ‘high-capacity magazines that hold 100 rounds,’” Breitbart reported.
“We need a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines again,” Biden said. Referencing “hunters,” Biden said “Talk to most responsible gun owners, most hunters – they’ll tell you there’s no possible justification for having 100 rounds – 100 bullets – in a weapon.”
The National Rifle Association pushed back against Biden’s anti-Second Amendment plans frequently during Biden’s boring speech.
“In 2004, the Department of Justice National Institute of Justice issued a report stating that the 1994 ‘assault weapons’ ban did not actually reduce crime,” American Military News reported.
Democratic lawmakers want to go further than Biden, though.
A number of them, “introduced legislation [April 14] to ban the sale, manufacturing, transfer, possession or importation of high-capacity gun magazines that are capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition,” according to a press release from one of the sponsors.
