Rep Matt Gaetz Coming to Rally in Wyoming Against Cheney’s Vote for Impeachment
After Rep Liz Cheney (R-WY) voted in favor of impeaching President Trump earlier in January, Trump’s most loyal supporters have taken interest in ousting Cheney from her seat.
Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, one of President Trump’s most loyal supporters, has taken it upon himself to fly to Wyoming and rally against Cheney in Cheyenne — the state’s capitol.
Gaetz is set to host the event at the Wyoming Capitol at 1PM local time on Thursday January 28, 2021.
Wyoming State Rep. Ocean Andrew — a first term Republican — organized a Facebook page for the event.
Gaetz blasts Cheney and the establishment leadership in the Republican party while interviewing on Lou Dobbs Tonight, part of the interview is embedded below via a tweet from Rep Gaetz.
Rep. Cheney has made it clear that she intends to stay in power, saying shortly after her vote, “I’m not going anywhere.”
Over the weekend Cheney blasted the Florida Congressman by releasing the following rebuke through her staff,
“Rep. Gaetz can leave his beauty bag at home,” while linked to a video of Congressman Gaetz applying makeup on himself for a television appearance. “In Wyoming, the men don’t wear make-up.”
Congressman Gaetz told a group of reporters on Monday that he doesn’t, “dislike Liz personally, I don’t know Liz very well personally, but my disagreements with her are serious, and they’re about serious policy issues.”
