Rand Paul picks apart Fauci’s lies surrounding COVID response

The Republican senator has frequently sparred with Anthony Fauci, and as more information comes out, it appears Paul may have been right.

Anthony Fauci flat-out told Senator Rand Paul that the U.S. does not fund gain of function research in China, but that turned out to potentially not to be true.

The Republican Senator recently took apart Fauci piece-by-piece on a recent interview for Fauci’s numerous falsehoods (or lies, if Fauci knowingly did not tell the truth).

Paul told Laura Ingraham that there has been a “sea change of opinion” with regard to Fauci’s leadership and honesty.

The emails show a “disturbing picture” Paul said. He encouraged his Democratic colleagues to hold committee hearings to figure out what has been redacted in the emails and where COVID originated.

Fauci oversaw the funding of the EcoHealth Alliance, which then gave money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

He has been caught giving money from the National Institutes of Health to Chinese researchers, despite promises that he had not funded gain-of-function research. Gain of function research refers to “juicing up viruses,” Rand Paul, a medical doctor, explained.

The libertarian senator said there very likely could be “criminal culpability” and at least there is “moral culpability” for Fauci’s role in bankrolling the research.

“Ingraham points out what a scandal this is, especially if it was funded by U.S. taxpayers through research funding and Paul ended the interview with an even more concerning comment about the danger of what they were studying and that it could even lead to a more deadly situation in the future,” RedState pointed out in its article.
