Pete Buttigieg Is Interested in Taxing How Much You Drive to Pay for $3 Trillion Infrastructure Bill

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is considering a mileage tax as a way to fund the the upcoming $3 trillion Biden infrastructure bill Biden is set to unveil this week.

While Democrat Members of Congress are in support of several forms of tax increases to pay for the COVID relief bills and the upcoming infrastructure bills, Republicans are standing against any kind of tax increase on the American people.

In a CNBC interview last Friday, Biden’s new Transportation Secretary claimed the massive $3 trillion infrastructure would somehow come out as a “net gain” for Americans rather than a “net cost.”

When it comes to funding the controversial spending bill, Buttigieg said he was considering mileage tax that would tax people an additional amount based on how much they drive.

The openly-gay cabinet member said the mileage tax, “shows a lot of promise.”

The failed Democrat presidential candidate added that, "We've got to think big; it's got to be transformative."

Buttigieg has called for a "generational investment" into the US Infrastructure while also bizarrely relating it to “racial inequality” and “climate change.” Signaling that the $3 trillion infrastructure will most likely contain various left-wing wish list items as part of the spending bill.

Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia has claimed he would not support an infrastructure bill that does not include Republican input. Only time will tell if that position will be maintained by Manchin after the bill is released and left-wing advocacy groups begin pressuring the moderate Democrat.

Do you think a mileage tax makes sense? Do you support a $3 trillion infrastructure bill? Have Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden lost their minds? Comment your thoughts below!
