New Jersey gym owner who defied lockdowns now running for Congress

The New Jersey Gym owner who famously defied lockdowns, Ian Smith, is now running for Congress.

Ian Smith is a gym owner who refused to let leftists in New Jersey shut down the business he worked countless hours to build up into a successful enterprise.

Now, Smith could join Congress, in bad news for leftists like the “Squad” who seem to want total government control of the economy.

“I am truly excited to have the possibility to serve the people of NJ with a platform focused on liberty, small government, and America First policies,” Smith said.

“Smith became an outspoken critic of strict lockdowns early in the pandemic when he and his business partner, Frank Trumbetti, refused to close their gym in defiance of Gov. Phil Murphy’s orders — even kicking down the boarded-up doors,” the New York Post reported.

“For too long, good people have not gotten involved in politics — whether that is because the establishment won’t open the door for them or they don’t want to participate in the foul world of politics,” Smith said.

Politicians and “public health” officials have spent the past two years beating down on hardworking patriots who keep America running, all while ginning up unnecessary fear about a virus.

Let’s hope more patriots like Ian Smith run for office and throw out the political leaders who ruined lives for millions of Americans.
