Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) Rules Out Senate Run in 2022

According to Representative Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) office, Jordan will not be making a run for the empty Senate seat in 2022 now that Senator Rob Portman announced his retirement.

According to his office, Rep. Jordan is “solely focused on representing the great people of Ohio’s Fourth District, and will not be running to fill the seat of retiring Senator Rob Portman.”

“Mr. Jordan believes at this time he is better suited to represent Ohioans in the House of Representatives, where as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, he can advance an America first agenda, promote conservative values, and hold big government accountable,” his office continued.

Portman said that partisan gridlock is his reasoning for not running again in 2022.
