FBI Arrests ‘Hardcore Leftist’ Plotting Attack At Florida State Capitol

Fox News reported Sunday that Daniel Baker, a self proclaimed ‘hardcore leftist’ who supported Antifa, was kicked out of the US Army, and fought with terrorists was arrested for plotting to attack pro-Trump protesters at the Florida State Capitol according to prosecutors.

According to officials, Daniel Baker issued a call to arms online to recruit others to join him in violently attacking Trump supporters protesting at the Florida State Capitol on Sunday, just three days before the inauguration of the 78 year old Joe Biden.

Baker is reportedly a supporter of Antifa who attended multiple anti-police protests across the nation last year, including the CHOP/CHAZ zone in Seattle. Baker described himself as a “hardcore leftist” in an article published in October of 2020.

Baker was arrested on Friday evening by the FBI with help from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and local law enforcement.

In light of recent reported threats to the Florida Capitol by the FBI, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis approved the request to have the National Guard as protection.

Mayor John Dailey tweeted out support for the popular Governor’s preventative measures.

Prosecutors say Baker was kicked out of the Army, spent almost a decade homeless in the Tallahassee area, and then chose to fight with a US designated terror group in Syria (the People’s Protection Units). The leftist Florida man is now officially being charged with a felony for transmitting, “in interstate or foreign commerce any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another.”

Baker was making threats to commit violence online against people who he believes are “white supremacists", and “fascists” according to the criminal complaint filed against him in the U.S District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

He posted a flyer with the title, "Call to Arms January 20!!" that called on others to join him in attacking pro-Trump protesters at the Florida state Capitol complex in Tallahassee using firearms.

The Department of Justice in the Northern District of Florida released a statement about the arrest, it can be read in full here.
