“Ex-Colleague” of Hunter Biden’s Lawyer Gets DOJ Post Heading Criminal Division

Reports surfaced Tuesday about Hunter Biden’s attorney’s close colleague being tapped to temporarily head up the DOJ’s criminal division, Hunter Biden’s attorney was hired to assist in his federal criminal defense.

The newly appointed acting head of the Justice Department’s criminal division is a former colleague of Hunter Biden’s new attorney. Hunter Biden is currently under federal investigation for possible tax and money laundering.

While nothing explicitly illegal has knowingly taken place, this appointment will certainly fuel scrutiny on an already politically charged issue.

Nicholas McQuaid just recently joined the DOJ after spending the past several years as a partner in the New York office of law firm Latham & Watkins.

Tucker Carlson of the Fox News Channel BLASTED the appointment on his television show last Friday.

The question remains whether McQuaid will recuse himself from the investigation into Hunter Biden.
