Biden Admin Spending $86 Million to House Migrants Crossing Border in Hotels

President Biden’s administration will reportedly spend $86 million to house migrants crossing the southern border in hotels.

Around 1,200 migrant family members will be housed in hotels as part of a contract awarded by Biden administration, Axios reported.

Border crossings have surged dramatically since Joe Biden and his far-left administration took office, and detention facilities holding unaccompanied minors have reached capacity at the southern border.

The hotels will reportedly be in Arizona and Texas, and the contract will start at six months with the option to extend it, DHS officials told Axios.

The number of migrant family members crossing the border has almost tripled from January to February, according to Customs and Border Patrol.

Border patrol agents encountered more than 100,000 illegal crossers in February. A dramatic increase from what it was in February 2020.

The Biden Administration has refused to admit the mass amount of crossings at the border is a crisis at this point. Speaker Pelosi even stated that she believed Biden had the situation, “under control.”
