Grammy singer Macy Gray calls to cancel the American Flag for Juneteenth: ‘It no longer represents democracy and freedom’

The widely unknown Grammy-winning singer Macy Gray attacked the American flag calling it, “tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect” in a recent op-ed published for Juneteenth.

The opinion piece published in MarketWatch called for a “new flag” that “represents ALL of us,” claiming the Star Spangled Banner, “no longer represents democracy and freedom.”

The one-hit-wonder singer of “I Try” said the flag has been, “hijacked as code for a specific belief.”

“God bless those believers, they can have it. Like the Confederate, it is tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect. It no longer represents democracy and freedom. It no longer represents ALL of us. It’s not fair to be forced to honor it. It’s time for a new flag,” the angry R&B singer wrote.

In a time of the year where patriotism is typically flourishing, Macy Gray is not the only one bashing America in recent days. Just last week, radical leftists actor John Cusack said America was “f*****g awful.”

It’s important to note that President Trump’s own Platinum Plan called to make Juneteenth a National Holiday, a point Gray’s opinion article failed to mention.
