Gene Simmons “Kisses” California Goodbye, Buys Mansion in Nevada

Rock legend Gene Simmons has lived up to his promise to leave liberal California and move to Nevada.

The former lead in KISS and his wife Shannon Tweed, purchased an $8.2 million on an 11,000 square-foot spread in Henderson, Nevada (just outside of Las Vegas).

“I’m done [with California],” SImmons said. “There are earthquakes, fires and pandemics every year. Even though there is nice sunshine, I’m done.”

In March, Simmons told the New York Post that the taxes in California had made the state “inhabitable.”

Gene Simmons had lived in a 2-acre estate in Beverly Hills and their homes is currently listed for $20 million.

Simmons won’t be missing California much as reports claim his new Vegas pad reportedly boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a koi pond and sprawling views of the desert valley.
