Dan Bongino to Take Over Rush Limbaugh Radio Time Slot
Westwood One announced Wednesday evening that Dan Bongino would be launching a new radio show during the popular 12-3PM ET slot left open by the death of radio icon Rush Limbaugh.
The Dan Bongino Show will broadcast at 12PM to 3PM ET in markets nationwide starting on May 24th including all major US markets.
The radio company issued a press release stating that, "The Dan Bongino Show will tackle the hot political issues, debunking both liberal and Republican establishment rhetoric, as a former Secret Service agent and NYPD officer, Bongino is uniquely positioned to provide commentary and analysis that directly questions the philosophical underpinnings of both the Left and Big Government Republicans."
Westwood One's president Suzanne Grimes released a statement saying, "Dan is passionate and relatable, with a natural ability to connect with his audience, Dan has been on a meteoric rise since his podcast launched in 2019, and we look forward to watching his star continue to soar."
Radio icon Rush Limbaugh tragically died last month at 70 years old after a years long battle with lung cancer. Bongino is a cancer survivor himself having been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma last September.
