Student Suspended From Education Program For Stating, ‘A Man is a Man, A Woman is a Woman’
A New York state university suspended a student from mandatory teaching programs for posting social media videos expressing conservative viewpoints.
State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo informed education major, Owen Stevens, they were placing him on suspension from his field teaching programs after videos arose of him preaching a conservative ideology.
According to reports from The Daily Wire, The school claimed that Stevens’ videos “call into question” his ability to “maintain a classroom environment protecting the mental and emotional well-being of all of [his] students.”
The state university stated it did not believe it was infringing on any student’s right to free speech.
Stevens will remain suspended from in-school field experiences and courses that have field experiences until he completes a “remediation plan” according the suspension obtained by the Daily Wire.
Owen Stevens said he will refuse to take part in any “re-education” training.
